CHOOSING MONTESSORI LONG TERM
“Let the children be free. Encourage them. Let them run outside when it’s raining. Let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water and when the grass is wet with dew. Let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet. Let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade. Let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them in the morning.” Dr Maria Montessori
Your child gains greatly when following the Montessori way of life long term. We encourage our parents to commit to at least a full three-year cycle. The Montessori cycles run from age three to six, six to nine, nine to twelve, twelve to fifteen and fifteen to eighteen, according to the developmental planes of the child. Children who complete a full three-year cycle are typically well grounded, secure, confident, diligent, capable and proficient in their work. This is compounded when the cycle lasts upwards to six and nine years. Our two Montessori Eco Schools – Singing Forest and Chartwell House – work together to offer your child a long-term Montessori education, from preprimary all the way through primary school, and soon into High School. You can begin your Montessori journey at any time during your child’s education and we welcome you to our family with open arms.
We invite you to join us on our mission to see your children thrive and support the growth of tomorrow’s legacies.
“I believe in the Montessori method with all my heart, as I have seen the results! I watch precious little souls join our school family, find their sense of order, normalise, learn and grow through the use of the Montessori materials.
They blossom into children who are confident, independent, well-mannered and, often, leaps and bounds ahead in their development. It’s an enormous gift that I get to enjoy every day.” ~ Andrea Wright, School Manager, Singing Forest
